The event is in celebration of the Independence Day of Guinea Conakry.
Doundounba is a style of West African music and dance based upon the rhythms played on the drum known as the “doundoun”.
The first hour of the event is a dance class where you learn and practise some common moves used in doundounba, the remaining hours is like a ”dance jam” where everyone is dancing together, but also ”showcasing”.
